Me & Orson Welles is definitely Zack Efron's best. I don't really like him as an actor but after seeing this movie, I kind of do now. One of the reason that I find this movie so good is probably because I was watching at the right moment. It has what I wanted to see at that moment. Love, Life, Luck. It's realistic. It's artistic. And definitely classic.

Me & Orson Welles perfectly exemplifies a situation a young man would face at one point of his life.  A situation in life where we are young and ambitious, and we feel that everything is going for us. So we try to grab everything we can. We grab so much until more than we can hold. And *snap* just like that everything falls apart. Fame, glory, money, romance. All gone right before our very greedy eyes. And the worse part is you feel like you lose everything when nothing was really yours in the first place. You just go back to where you started. Nothing. And that's beauty of life. It doesn't end just there. You start all over again. This time with the knowledge and experience of what had happened.

Lastly, after seeing the movie, it really makes me come to appreciate the title a lot. It says Me & Orson Welles and not Me & Him or Richard & Orson Welles. Me would be Richard and he would be Orson Welles but Orson Welles is not necessarily has to be him. It's a just a brand the man wear and project. If anything we can learn from this, it would be the good old cliche "It's nothing personal my friend, it's just business." Don't get personal and emotional... unless it gives you profit.

I've tried to experience and understand many things in life. People doing weird and stupid things I can still understand why. But people who like Twilight New Moon, that is definitely one of things I don't understand. How can any body like this movie? Sorry but I have to admit that I'm one of the haters. If the books are as nice as it's rumored, the movies really mess it up for the books big time.

I don't get the whole thing from beginning to the end. The awkward romance, the incredibly thick makeup, the weird birthday tragedy, the unconvincing break-up, and the bunch of buff guys in Bermudas and running shoes walking around looking like idiots. None of these makes any sense.

But again, if you haven't watched don't be discourage by my comments because I have friends who really love this movie. So you can still check it out, maybe you have the same taste as my friends, which I don't know what kind of taste is that.

If you've been following Hannah Montana the Disney series then there is no need for introduction to this movie. And if you haven't, then there's no reason you would want to see this movie.

First of all, I really didn't expect Hannah Montana the Movie to actually put me to tears. Totally didn't see that coming. Am I that emo? Nah... don't think so. Maybe I cried coz the movie was too suck and I realized I wasting my precious life time watching it and now having to write about it. But seriously, I have to admit that I find it good. Suddenly it reminds me about a youtube video that I watched where the guy was asking "what your shame show?" Shame show is basically a show that you're ashame or embarrassed to admit that you like/love it for some reasons. For my case, Hannah Montana the series and movie have to be my shame show.

If you like Miley or Hannah Montana or you're an emo person then go see this. lol

Guinea pigs saved the world. The End. Well if you like seeing talking animals and actions spy movie, G-Force is definitely a movie to go because it give the 2 in 1 package deal. If Guinea can be trained to be that awesome in real life, I would seriously consider owning one.

Same as any other Will Ferrell's movies. Lame and Crap. Nothing much to say. If you find yourself enjoying his other movies, then feel free to go ahead with Land of the Lost.

It's funny that I reviewed Law Abiding Citizen and Gamer before this. By right it should come first but I was just too excited to babble about the other 2. The Ugly Truth is uglily (Dictionary.com says there is such word) true, at least to a certain extent. Some of I find to be very much exaggerated from an Asian man point of view. I don't know if it's 100% true for western guys.

The Ugly Truth is funny, humorous and hot! Katherine Heigl + Gerard Butler = Fire! =3 Definitely one of my favorite romance comedy. But don't trust me on this because apparently, all the 3 romance comedy starring Katherine Heigl that I've seen in recent years (Knocked Up, 27 Dresses and This) seem to be my favorites. Sooo I don't know if I'm being biased.

Lastly, I would like to quote my favorite part of the conversations in the movie. When Abby said, "Just! I don't want to be perceived as a bimbo I mean.." and Mike replied "And I don't want you to be a bimbo. You have to be 2 people. The saint and the sinner. The librarian and a stripper..." It's so true, period.

Gamer is awesome! Gerrard Butler is on fire. He's been right on it since last year's Rock 'n Rolla. Then he started 2009 with the romance comedy, The Ugly Truth and this, before going on to Law Abiding Citizen. In Law Abiding Citizen, he has the brain, and in Gamer, he has the brute.

Gamer is a visualization of one possible outcome of our society resulting from the exponentially advancing technology and our perpetually growing appetite for better entertainment experience. If we look at the surface, Gamer is pretty much a bluff because quite positively, we (or at least I) don't think that society will ever progress in that that direction. The government and us ourselves wouldn't let that happen, I believe. In fact, Gamer makes the idea of Surrogates sounds much more possible to me. However, if we look at it metaphorically, it appears more of a sarcastic exaggeration made to mock today society.

What is fascinating about Gamer for me is the fact that not only it gives me entertainment and actions but also a strong controversial message as a fruit for thought. Bottom line, Love it~! go check it out!

9 is yet another great highly detailed 3D graphic piece of this 3D age of cinema. So many of them just keep coming nowadays that I have difficulties telling which one is good. In the earlier days, it usually the quality of the graphic that matters but now that it no longer does, I find myself not really having much opinion on it. If I'm not wrong, 9 is based on a certain book which quite obviously I've never heard of.

So basically, all I have to say about this movie is that the setting is well designed and the characters are unique and original. Plot-wise, I do not find it anymore impressive than any other 3D animation movies I've seen in 2009. Well, if it is anything positively contribute to the plot I would say that 9 has a story compared to the others, say for instance Monsters vs Aliens, which has a plot for children where you can more or less predict the whole movie, what it's gonna go,  who's gonna win, and how it's gonna end.

I Love You, Man is more or less similar to Forgetting Sarah Marshall (Another movie starring Jason Segel). There's nothing much to review about it because watching it or not doesn't really make much difference. It's one of those okay-and-forgettable movie.

I Love You, Man exaggerates an aspect of a man's life and tries to make humorous, if not comedic. Unfortunately, it's a failed attempt. Personally, I think it's still pretty much a comedy wannabe. Moreover, the whole context is more or less too American to be applicable for Asians. In fact, I don't even think that American guys would be that extreme. Hence, if you are very realistic person, you may just say this movie is full of bluffs.

Overall, not much comment. If one of your movie nights, you run out of sth to watch and feel like seeing a guy trying to make friend with another guy then that'll be when this movie comes in handy. ;)

This proves once again that any Asian masterpiece cannot be handled by Westerners because they just simply don't get the Asian's art. My first ultimate disappointment this year was Dragonball Evolution and now this is another.

Blood the Last Vampire is a movie adapted from a famous Japanese Animation movie of the same name. I'm not really sure how to describe this but to plainly put the movie is a very poor imitation of the anime. Well, I think it starts with the effect for me. I guess they didn't poor enough budget on it or they didn't intend to do so. Either way, the whole battles, slashing, blood shedding, slow motion thing all appear very much second class. As for the plot I didn't really care .Since I've already seen the anime version, I already know what's it's about and what's going to happen. Hence once the visual effect is not there, there's really nothing to much to see.

According to IMDB, I'm among the minority for this one. I think most of the people who rated in there are probably fans or at least have read the novel (or the comic?). So yes, this is from the perspective of a guy who knows nothing about Watchmen beside the fact that the movie is an adaptation from a famous novel or comic strip, which he's not even sure which one.

Again it has a lot to do with my pre-movie expectations. I started watching it hoping to see a bunch of human hero es dressed in freaky gay suits fighting epic battles with some Villains. Did I see that? No. Was the battle epic? Yes! Epicly slow! Were there any villians? Yes, the heroes themselves. (and the Russians?) This is what I'm talking about. My ignorant expectations and lack of background knowledge about the Watchmen screws the whole thing up big time. I definitely did not think that this would turn out to be melodic drama of heroes emo-ing over themselves. I remember reading one of the reviewers who rated 1 for this movie said that "nobody cares about what they think, we just want to see them fight." That was exactly how I felt throughout the three hours. And the funny thing about it is that even after an hour through the movie I still refused the accept the fact that this was about the plot and not the play (entertainment). Then when the 2 hours mark has passed I was like "F***!"

Well before I continue to finish it up, I figured I should give a bit of summary on Watchmen. I think Watchmen is  a very very cynical piece. It's about different individuals looking at the same world from different angles. Then they exaggerated these differences in ideals and beliefs by implanting them into mankind's iconic figures, our heroes - the Watchmen. The battles that these heroes fought was more of the psychological rather than physical ones. And the enemies is themselves. They fought among themselves and within themselves. Hence, each hero character represents a school of thought/ideals. For instance, the comedian who's ironically not funny at all. Hence the name itself already suggests his cynicism. Then we have Rorschach, the emo mask man, who, when masked-off, is a retarded psycho idiot. He's the man who sees the world behind a veil. Then there is Dr Manhattan who's the guy who floats around in his perfectly sculpted naked blue CG body with his blue pennis hanging out. He's basically the examples of what may happens when God can be privatize. He knows everything but feel nothing because from his point of view certain things are inevitable so it's better just for us to accept it rather than trying fight it. He did what he did because of duty and not sympathy. There some more characters but this is getting rather draggy (just like the movie) So it's better if you just find it ourselves by seeing the movie.

With that, I have to admit that it's entirely my fault for the movie being suck. Nobody said anything about it being a cool action movie and I was just assuming so. So if you happen feel same as I did, don't blame the movie. Blame yourself! ;)

Funny people is definitely not funny. First of all, the casts were off for me personally. Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler? Come on. Adam Sandler and Leslie Mann? Seriously? I'm sorry but I really find hat the casts' chemistry were just not there. Hence, the movie felt awkward for me from the beginning to the end. And it became a torment when the movie lasted almost 2 and a half hours.

If you see the title and think that you want to check this out because you think that this is most likely going to be funny. Then don't waste your money because you think wrong. Funny People is about the unfunny things of funny people and not about the unfunny people being funny (which was what I was hoping for). Therefore, you could say that I kinda have set the wrong mood for this movie. As a result, I was utterly disappointed and psychologically tormented by the turn of event. Putting 2 famous comedian actors together and giving it a very indicatively comedic title while having the not so relevant plots and contents is definitely not cool to do.

Anyway, I'm sorry I really can't comment much on this movie because I really got off on the wrong foot with it. For the most parts, I was just waiting for it to end. So yes you are warned, check it out with caution because it may turn out that you will like it like the 25 thousands users on IMDB who gave it an average rating of 7.0.

Hilarious! The Hangover has to be one of the best comedy around. Could you imagine yourself having the wildest and most epic night of your life and not remembering any of it the next morning? Worse still, being haunted by all the things you did and not knowing why and how or when. Fantastic idea. The hangover is one those better comedy that they don't act like like idiots and try hard to be funny and hopefully you'll laugh. It's a serious matter, they were in some seriously deep sh*t and they were seriously trying to solve it. And why am I laughing like hell? Beats me... but it's hilarious. The Hangover is definitely in a must-see list.

As a fan of Heroes, I was really looking forward to this - the movie version of Heroes. However, it is not so. Nevertheless, I wasn't really that disappointed though since I didn't expect too much out of it.

Push is typical action movie. The main guy got chased by bad guys and the future looks bad but somehow he found his way out of it and defeat the villains. Oh did I mention there is a girl? A hot one as usual. He got the girl as well. If you watch Heroes, you may get to enjoy yourself by seeing some of your favorites abilities in exaggerated mode like telekinesis, telepathy, and precognition. Other than that it's pretty typical and forgettable.
